Manchester United's Geordie midfielder Michael Carrick admits thumping Newcastle last season was the best match of their Double winning campaign.

He told manutd.com: "Beating Newcastle at home was probably the best. The 6-0 scoreline was amazing, but the team performance was pretty spot-on and that just makes it more enjoyable when everyone is playing well and everything clicks. We kept a clean sheet and dominated the game from start to finish. Everything went right for us."
