Manchester United won't rush into new contract talks with Wayne Rooney.
The Daily Star says United bosses have not even started talks with Rooney and his agent Paul Stretford yet.
It is understood United are relaxed about Rooney's future and will not begin negotiations until the start of next year.
Rooney, 28, still has 18 months of his deal to run and United chief executive Ed Woodward is confident about reaching an agreement once talks commence.
Reports have suggested the England and United striker will pen a new deal in January worth £52m.
