Manchester United's Adnan Januzaj has reportedly backtracked from his commitment to the Belgium national team and has stated a desire to play for Kosovo.
The 21-year-old, who committed his allegiance to Belgium in 2014, has a Kosovo-born father and is eligible to represent the Balkan nation.
Kosovo recently accepted recognition from UEFA and are now pushing for FIFA's approval.
According to Belgian newspaper DH, Januzaj has told the Kosovo FA's general secretary Eroll Salihu that he wishes to play for the home country of his father.
Januzaj, who could have also chosen Albania and Turkey, has played six times for Belgium.
