Manchester United wing-back Ashley Young believes England's players have managed to re-connect with fans during the World Cup.
Young admits everyone being united behind the national anthem has been important.
Ahead of tonight's Colombia showdown, he said: “When I came back into the squad, it was very important that everybody knew the National Anthem and sang their hearts out.
“I think you see that. It is not just those playing – it starts on the bench and everyone is together. We link arms as well to show our togetherness.
“That is why we do it.
“It is different to the past – that is something the manager has instilled into us and you can see that when the National Anthem is being sung."
