Intermediaries are convinced Tottenham fullback Danny Rose is joining Manchester United in January.

United boss Jose Mourinho hinted at his frustration over his lack of 'specialists' in the fullback positions.

"The full-backs are not full-backs," Mourinho proclaimed before the Brighton win. "Valencia and Young are wingers not full-backs."

The Manchester Evening News says Tottenham's Rose and Celtic youngster Kieran Tierney have hovered onto United's radar over the last year.

And the Scotland international is believed to have inked a new deal at Parkhead as he expects United will go for Rose.

The England international was again missing for Tottenham's draw with West Brom.
