Manchester United are being forced to wait for Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

Quotidiano says United are ready to pay €40 million for the Dutchman, though it's likely he won't leave Inter before 6 August due to the Super Cup game with rivals AC Milan.

Inter are determined to kickoff the season with a psychological edge on the defending Serie A champs.

Sneijder remains a target for United, with Inter president Massimo Moratti refusing to rule out selling the midfielder only yesterday.
