Manchester United are preparing to open formal talks with Aaron Wan-Bissaka regarding a new deal.
The right-back has emerged as a serious option under boss Erik ten Hag after an impressive end to last season.
Wan-Bissaka was one of many players that Ten Hag was happy to sell when he first arrived at United.
Per The Mail, United will now talk to Wan-Bissaka about a pay rise and contract extension.
His present deal has 12 months to run, while the club can extend it unilaterally by another year.
Even though United could take that option, they would prefer to negotiate a deal with Wan-Bissaka.
