Man Utd to hand Solskjaer massive new deal and pay-rise

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in line for a new contract.

Solskjaer is set to be rewarded with a new £9m per year deal to extend his stay at Old Trafford. The Norwegian boss who replaced Jose Mourinho in December 2018, is set to enter the final 12 months of his three-year contract later this month.

The Mirror says the 48-year-old will be rewarded with an extension and a payrise to his current £7m per year salary.

It adds that talks to finalise the new contract for the manager are 'imminent'.

United have already made a number of announcements to their senior management team in March.

John Murtough has been confirmed as the club's new football director, while former midfielder Darren Fletcher has sealed a technical director post.

Solskjaer was involved in formulating playing-side details of the new structure at Old Trafford, and is now believed to be next in the agenda to extend his stay at the club.
