Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder says the cash in the Premier League has hurt England's international prospects.
Sneijder is the subject of a £29 million offer from Manchester United.
And he told the Daily Express: "The quality of the Premier League is unquestionable but the amount of money there could cause long-term problems for the national team.
"Most of the top teams can afford to spend money on proven players, they don't have the need to produce players like perhaps we do in Holland."
