Manchester United superkid Angel Gomes has been named MVP at the Manchester United Premier Cup.

The U15 captain was presented the trophy by Gary Pallister. He follows in some famous footsteps as Andres Iniesta, Fernando Torres and Carlos Tevez are former recipients of the award.

Opposition coaches voted for the honour and, although Tommy Martin's side finished in 12th spot, the United no.10 received the nod as the most impressive individual on show in the Nike-sponsored event.

Gomes is the son of former Portugal U20 World Cup winner, Gil.
