Manchester United's summer transfer budget could top £300 MILLION.
The Mail on Sunday says in net terms United have a budget of £200m to revitalise their ageing and under-strength squad.
In actual terms, given the players United are set to sell or release, the club could have a gross capacity of up to £300m.
But the problem in luring players of top status is that despite the financial muscle United posses, the loss of Champions League football could undermine the club's ability to capture the calibre of players required to revive the team and regain a Champions League spot.
