Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck is happy with the way his loan at Sunderland has developed.
Joining Sunderland on loan has given him the opportunity to play regular top-flight football - a luxury he would not have enjoyed at Old Trafford - and he is determined to make the most of it.
He told the Sunday Sun: "There is no disgrace in going out on loan.
"It is a question of going out into different surroundings and learning your trade.
"Some people might see it as a negative that your club has allowed you to go out on loan, but I think it is a positive.
"It has given me the chance to gain some invaluable first-team experience.
"Playing regularly was the aim when I came here to Sunderland, and thankfully I have managed to do that so far.
"Another big plus point of the loan is I have had the chance to work with other players with different styles.
"Darren and Asamoah are both top strikers and it is great to play alongside them and train with them every day.
"The main thing for me is the fact I have to make sure I keep on learning and improving as a player."
