Manchester United striker Robin van Persie admits his move to Arsenal may never have happened. While playing with Feyenoord, Van Persie was wanted by Dick Advocaat and says he was keen to move to Ibrox.
"I wanted to go to Rangers. I spoke with Dick and he was very interested. I was ready to go, but they could not end up buying me," he revealed to BT Sport.
"Dick never told me exactly how it was, but I really wanted it. Ultimately, it was a good step to go to Arsenal."
It's not the first time RvP has confessed his love for the Gers.
"When I heard of the interest, I sat by the phone hoping it would ring," he told The Sun five years ago.
