Manchester United star Antonio Valencia has expressed his delight at signing a new contract with the club.

The Red Devils triggered a clause in the Ecuadorian's contract to extend his current deal until June 2018.

The 31-year-old, who joined United in 2009, announced the news on his Twitter account: “Another year to give everything for the greatest club in the world @ManUtd.

“Happy to announce I've renew my contract 'til 2018."
