Man Utd skipper Vidic: Valencia someone we all look up to

Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has hailed the impact of Antonio Valencia since his return to full fitness.

Vidic rates him very highly both on and off the field.

"Antonio is so professional," the Reds skipper told ManUtd.com. "He's somebody everyone can look up to. Look how quickly he's come back from injury - it's down to the mentality he has.

"He's at Carrington from the morning until the afternoon and everything he does is geared towards making him a better player. He's one of the most important players in our team.

"He showed against Chelsea how versatile he is. We all know how good he is attacking but he showed at Stamford Bridge that he can defend as well.

"He's strong, powerful, quick, brave… all the attributes you need to play for Manchester United. I haven't seen him play in goal yet, but I think that maybe if he trains for two or three months he could do it because he works so hard!"
