Manchester United captain Gary Neville says they'd still be in the Champions League if not for the way Frank Ribery played for the foul against Rafael last week.
The Brazilian was sent off for a second yellow card after clashing with the Bayern Munich winger.
Neville told the Sunday Times of Malta: "There is absolutely no doubt that if Rafael hadn't been sent off we would have gone on to win that match; no doubt whatsoever. We were getting the better of them all over the pitch. In the Premier League he would probably not have been sent off.
"But in the heat of the moment, Franck Ribery played for the foul. Technically, you could say there was a small tug by Rafael but did that warrant a sending off to change the whole flow of a massive European game? I don't think so."
