Rio Ferdinand is set to sign his new Manchester United contract in the next 48 hours.
The Daily Star says Ferdinand, 34, has decided to snub the chance of banking a £10m fortune elsewhere to agree a 12-month extension on reduced terms.
The former England defender last week retired from international football to concentrate on his club career.
And the news that Ferdinand could be set for another season at Old Trafford could be confirmed as early as TOMORROW.
