Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has labeled his skipper Gary Neville as a 'remarkable' player.

After Neville produced a brilliant display in the Red Devils' 4-0 Champions League win over AC Milan, he was lauded by his boss who said his comeback to the game was a great achievement.

"Gary's a great player," said Fergie. "He's a remarkable man. When you've been out of the game for a year-and-half like he has it's never going to be an easy road back.

"But he succeeded against Milan because he's got the will to succeed and I was really pleased for him."
