Manchester United are interested in Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

The Holland international has been a long-term target for United manager Sir Alex Ferguson since his days with Ajax.

TMW says Ferguson could move for Huntelaar as a replacement for Dimitar Berbatov.

While the Bulgaria international will be handed a new deal by Ferguson, he could still be sold in the summer for a substantial fee.
