Nicolas Otamendi is pushing to leave Valencia.

The Argentina defender is a top target for Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Marca says he wants to seal a move away from Valencia as soon as possible.

There are two particular dates looming on his calendar. The first is 26th July, when he would be due to report back to the Mestalla - something that, given everything that has been said and done, he is keen to avoid.

The second one is 18th August, when Valencia have the first leg of their Champions League play-off. Otamendi is desperate not to feature in this game because even a minute's action would cup-tie him for the rest of next season's tournament, making him a far less attractive prospect for potential buyers.
