Manchester United are prepared to offload Robin van Persie this summer according to reports.

The Guardian suggests that United boss Louis van Gaal is ready to listen to offers for the 31-year old Dutch striker.

Former Arsenal captain van Persie is contracted at Old Trafford until the summer of 2016 and is hoping for a one-year extension but it is believed that van Gaal is ready to part ways with the man who skippered his Holland national team.

This season, van Persie has scored 10 goals in 28 outings in a campaign which has been restricted due to form and fitness.
