Manchester United are being linked with a big-money move for Everton star John Stones.

According to the Daily Star, the Red Devils are readying a £50million summer bid for the 21-year-old defender.

It is believed that United are determined to prise the England international away from Goodison Park at the end of the season and swoop from under the noses of Chelsea who were unsuccessful in their pursuit of the former Barnsley young gun in the summer.

Everton have no intentions of offloading Stones anytime soon but a bid of £50m may turn the head of the Merseyside outfit.
