Man Utd players shocked with Shaw treatment

Manchester United players are shocked by the way in which manager Jose Mourinho is treating left-back Luke Shaw, according to the Daily Express.

Since Mourinho was appointed as manager of the Red Devils during the summer of 2016, Shaw has struggled to earn regular game time.

The former Southampton man was given an opportunity to start during the Red Devils' FA Cup quarter-final win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday in place of 32-year-old Ashley Young.

Shaw was disappointing in terms of his performance and Mourinho appeared to shout at him as well as hook him during the break.

United club legend Paul Scholes recently suggested that Shaw should leave United for the sake of his career.

"I still believe he could be the best in the world and in the summer he could go to Tottenham or somewhere and he could improve," Scholes told BT Sport.

"I couldn't see a difference between him and Young. I think sometimes, managers get in their head that there's a player not for them. For me I think he could be brilliant but his manager will still find something wrong with him.

"It is disappointing because when Luke Shaw came you thought what a player that is and he could be the best. It's a relationship that come the summer will end. It keeps going on and on but he isn't playing games.

"He's just not played many games, just his body shape, he looks like needs to play games. Unfortunately he hasn't impressed the manager enough.
