Man Utd plan Fellaini swap offer for Everton fullback Coleman

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is chasing Everton fullback Seamus Coleman. The Guardian reports Van Gaal is willing to offer Marouane Fellaini in a swap for the Irishman.

Van Gaal is eager to bring Seamus Coleman to Old Trafford and will offer cash plus the big-haired Belgian for the Irish right-back.

Chelsea are also interested in signing Coleman, despite having Branislav Ivanovic and Cesar Azpilicueta on their books, as boss Jose Mourinho believes he could become the club's first choice right-back.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Toffees after being scouted by Mick Doherty who now works for Mourinho, is likely to command a big fee as he is under contract at Everton until 2019.

However, the chance to bring back former hero Fellaini in a swap could prove tempting for Toffees chiefs and swing the deal in United's favour.
