Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is chasing Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Mirror says Mourinho has belief in the versatile midfielder and feels he would fit into his plans at Old Trafford as Oxlade-Chamberlain continues his development.

He has identified the Gunners star as a £30million summer target.

And Chris Smalling's future could also help smooth a deal if the Gunners firm-up their long-term interest in the centre-half.

It is suggested the possibility of a move for Oxlade-Chamberlain will be strengthened if Arsenal look to sign Smalling from United.
