Man Utd pair Welbeck, Possebon tipped for big things

Former Manchester United fullback Arthur Albiston has singled out Danny Welbeck and Rodrigo Possebon as ones to watch next season.

"Danny Welbeck's come out of the U18s and adapted to the Reserves, no problem at all," Albiston told ManUtd.com. "He's scored goals and even had a taste of life with the first team, going over to Roma and on the short trip to the Middle East.

"He got half an hour with the first team over there in front of a big crowd, which will be a big boost for him. He missed a penalty in the last minute, but he had real bottle in taking it at all. Hopefully he can get on the fringes of the first team squad next year."

Possebon arrived from Internacional in January, making an instant impression in central midfield, and Albiston expects him to get a first team chance before long.

"Rodrigo will progress next year as well," said Albiston. "It's different for him, coming from another country and suddenly playing in rain, sleet and snow, but he's done really well. He's very elegant, has a great touch on the ball and a decent physique."
