Manchester United have been dealt a potential blow with news that Bastian Schweinsteiger sustained an injury while training with Germany.
The 31-year-old midfielder was ruled out of his nation's Euro2016 qualifier with Republic of Ireland on Thursday night having suffered a thigh problem during their final training session.
Schweinsteiger's absence led to a shock 1-0 defeat for Die Mannschaft and could have United sweating ahead of their next Premier League match with Everton on October 17.
Germany next take on Georgia in Leipzig on Sunday in their final Euro qualification match ahead of which Schweinsteiger will be closely monitored.
