Man Utd midfielder McTominay: Bayern Munich clash our big chance

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay says they must embrace the challenge of facing Bayern Munich tonight.

To reach the Champions League round of 16, United must beat Bayern and hope FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray draw.

"For us, it is a big game [against Bayern] and we need to rectify some poor results we've had," he said.

"[Tonight] is a good night and an opportunity to do that.

"Football comes at you thick and fast. There are always different things going on and a lot of variables in the game but we have to concentrate on ourselves. I'm sure the fans don't appreciate us saying too much at the minute and they just want to see results, and we firmly agree with that."

McTominay also said: "We can't do anything about it [the other match in the group].

"We have found ourselves in a difficult situation when realistically, when you look at the games, we deserve to be a lot better off than we are. That's football. We can't cry about it. We have to just get on with it.

"I'm sure it will be a great game in terms of Bayern Munich haven't been to Old Trafford in a while and we just want to approach it with everything we have got and push to take care of our own business and we will see from there."
