Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is determined to break his scoring duck for loan club Brighton.
The England Under-21 international is still awaiting his first strike for the Seagulls since joining them at the end of January and was thwarted by Owls keeper Chris Kirkland on Tuesday night, when Leon Best's injury-time strike put a dent in Brighton's play-off bid.
"It will eventually come," Lingard told BBC Sussex. "I had one chance at the end - a shot which Kirkland saved. I'm there or thereabouts and should be on the scoresheet soon. Scoring is an added bonus for me. I'm not an out and out goalscorer. I like creating play and putting people through. But I want to get my target, which is about eight goals - I've got six [with previous loan club Birmingham] - and I hope I reach it by the end of the season."
