Doncaster Rovers boss Richie Wellens was pleased with Manchester United loanee Ethan Galbraith in defeat to League One rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

The match marked Galbraith's Football League debut.

Wellens later said: "I think he's [Galbraith] got the potential to be a top player.

"He seemed to take the big crowd and atmosphere in his stride. It didn't phase him and he took the ball in all areas of the pitch, he probably only gave the ball away once in the whole game."

Galbraith is scheduled to spend the season with Rovers before returning to United, where he is under contract until 2023.
