Michael Carrick insists Manchester United are no nailed-on Premier League certs.
United are 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League but Carrick is wary of any complacency.
The leaders face QPR today looking to stretch that advantage and he insisted: "By no means does the position we're in guarantee we're going to win the league.
"Yes, it is a good lead. I think we can be quite comfortable in the position we are at the moment - but that is only for the moment.
"You always set out to be at or around the top come Christmas. We were there and we're in the next phase now.
"We learned a lot last season - where we went wrong in certain games. But so many of us have been through this before. We have had ups and been successful and we have had downs like last year."
