Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was pleased with the centre-back partnership of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez in Sunday's draw with Rayo Vallecano.
£55million signing Martinez made his first appearance for United since joining from Ajax.
He played 60 minutes alongside Varane in the heart of defence before being replaced with Eric Bailly.
"I think it was a really good combination with Rapha and I think they played really solid and that was good to see," Ten Hag told MUTV.
"The question is how do you integrate him, but I think he will integrate quite well into the team."
