Manchester United and Manchester City are in a straight shootout for AS Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva.

Monaco management are preparing to cash in on the Portugal international's rising star this summer.

Le 10 Sport says ASM are in contact with both Manchester giants and are anticipating a big money auction.

Silva has also been linked with Real Madrid in the Spanish press, though it's suggested the player's agent has not fielded any formal approach from the Merengues.

United are said to have first option on Silva, but the agreement only allows them the opportunity to better any rival offer tabled for the ASM ace.
