Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel has questioned the support of Manchester City's fans this season.
Looking back on a remarkably one-sided Premier League season, Schmeichel claimed that the champions' fans have been quick to turn on their players this year.
"I can imagine it being like that at Manchester City. They were so successful last season that their players will have come in sometimes this season feeling miserable.
"People will have looked at them in a different way than they did the year before. Even the fans when they are not playing well are not 100 per cent there. They now expect them to win.
"At Manchester United you can have a bad day and the supporters understand. Even in a crunch game you can have a bad result and they still back the team. That's a very big difference between United and most other clubs, apart from maybe Arsenal."
