Manchester United legend Bryan Robson feels Antonio Valencia can be proud of his performance in defeat to Manchester City.
Goals from David Silva and Nicolas Otamendi ensured Pep Guardiola's men increased their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.
Despite the disappointing performance, Robson has hailed Valencia's display.
He told the Daily Mail: “Antonio Valencia kept going forward and tried to push United's team along.
“He had a very difficult job keeping Leroy Sane in check as the young German has been tearing defences to ribbons this season, but Antonio stuck to his task well.
"Otherwise we had too many players off the pace in this game."
