Manchester United legend Bryan Robson admits he tried to convince Ryan Giggs to pledge his international commitment to England.
In Giggs' new book, My Life My Story, Robson explains how he failed in his bid to get Giggs to represent England instead of Wales.
Robson, the former Three Lions and United captain, said: "I tried to persuade Ryan to play for England - who haven't had a settled winger since the days of Chris Waddle and John Barnes - and he would have been a sensation.
"But he feels Welsh and chose Wales. I can't blame him for that."
