Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane faces a court trial after denying a public order offence following an alleged road rage bust-up with a taxi driver.
Keane, 43, was summonsed to appear at Trafford Magistrates Court this morning after being accused of causing harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour.
Keane did not attend the 20-minute hearing, but lawyers representing the iconic former midfielder entered a plea of not guilty and Keane will now face a trial on June 19 at Manchester Magistrates Court.
Chair of the bench Susan Craig said Keane should attend court on that date.
