Notts County are set to name Paul Ince new manager today.
The Daily Mail says the former Blackburn boss succeeds Craig Short as the new boss at Meadow Lane after his predecessor lasted less than five months in the post.
Ince, who was 43 last week, will become the club's sixth manager in just over 12 months after agreeing a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Former Millwall midfielder Alex Rae will join Ince as his assistant in the next week.
Ince left MK Dons after a row over funding six months ago and has been out of work since then before being offered the chance to manage the world's oldest professional club.
