Manchester United have moved ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Burnley star Danny Ings.
With Ings' contract at Burnley expiring at the end of the current season, a host of top clubs have been monitoring his situation and it was believed that Liverpool were the most likely to secure the striker's services.
In a dramatic twist though, it has been reported by the Daily Mail that Manchester United have now moved ahead of their arch enemies in the race to sign the 22-year old.
Manager Louis van Gaal is said to have been impressed with Ings' performances this season and reports have claimed that the Red Devils have already opened dialogue with Burnley over a summer move for the striker.
