Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is close to joining Newcastle United.

The Manchester Evening News says Henderson arrived in Newcastle on Wednesday to discuss a potential transfer.

Talks have been around a season-long loan, however a permanent move has not been ruled out.

The Magpies tried to sign Henderson on transfer deadline day in January.

Starved for opportunities at Old Trafford, the United academy graduate is seeking opportunities elsewhere.

Henderson has only played for United three times this season and not appeared in the Premier League.
