Man Utd keeper De Gea: English game can benefit from Spanish input

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea rates Spanish football the best in the world.

De Gea is part of a growing Spanish influence in the Premier League. He believes a combination of the two styles could be a winning formula.

"In football today, the game played by Spain has been the most successful," he said. "A team needs to play, have possession of the ball and attack with a lot of players.

"Bit by bit, English football has been trying to take on that football style.

"It has always been a more physical, more powerful and a more battling style.

"It is a different style, but both are good, and the key is to try to combine both."
