Manchester United insist talk of a loan departure for Mason Greenwood has not yet been discussed.

Greenwood has been linked with Roma and Atalanta amid claims United management would choose to loan him abroad for the new season.

The England international had assault charges dropped against him in February, with the club then confirming they would conduct their own investigation into the youngster.

It's been suggested the review is now concluded with a final decision to soon be announced.

The Daily Mail says United insiders insist that any talk of a loan exit for Greenwood is highly speculative at this stage.

United boss Erik ten Hag is keen to work with Greenwood, but it will be a shared decision with the board and other execs.
