Manchester United do not believe Jose Mourinho will suffer from 'third season syndrome'.
The Portuguese has created a reputation for failing to deliver in his the third year in charge.
During his third and final season in charge of Real Madrid, Mourinho went trophy less and labelled the season 'the worst of his career'.
In Mourinho's second stint in charge of Chelsea, he once again saw a dip from his team during the third season. He was eventually sacked halfway through with the defending champions sitting in 16th.
However, Sky Sports claim United feel positive around the current atmosphere around Old Trafford despite Mourinho publicly criticising the club's transfer activity this summer.
United defeated Leicester City 2-1 in their opening Premier League fixture last Friday.
