Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has no regrets choosing Wales ahead of England.
Giggs told the People: "I have never regretted not pursuing a career with England. I have never dwelled on it or ever think about it - until I get asked.
"I made my decision when I was young and I stick by that. Wales nearly got close to qualifying for a major tournament a couple of times - for the World Cup in 1994 and then four or five years ago under Mark Hughes. We had the chances but we weren't good enough on the night.
"If England go to the World Cup in South Africa next year and do well I still won't have any regrets at all.
"I would have loved to have played in a World Cup tournament with Wales, obviously, and it's a big disappointment when I think about missing out on that.
"But I've had a great career otherwise and I can't complain."
