Man Utd great Ferguson told me not to go to Italy - Juventus' Pogba

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson urged him not to leave England for Italy.

The 20-year old France international departed Old Trafford for Turin in the summer of 2012 but was told by his then-manager that he should rethink his decision to move to the Serie A.

"Ferguson saw the depth, he was able to understand the developments that weren't there yet. Many players owe their success to him," he told La Repubblica.

"He believed with improvement in me too, even if I wasn't playing so much.

"He told me not to come to Italy due to racism. I told him that the racism is everywhere, in England too."
