Manchester United fullback Luke Shaw says winning the Carabao Cup final is "just the beginning".

United won 2-0 at Wembley against Newcastle on Sunday thanks to first-half goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.

Shaw said, "It feels amazing. We want to create our own history with the new manager and today was the start of it. It's a great feeling. I am really happy and proud of the team.

"Sometimes you can forget the people that aren't on the pitch. People have always stuck by me and they deserve this as much as us.

"The connection between us and the fans is easy to see. We feel the love from the fans and I hope they feel the same. This is just the beginning for us.

"We enjoy tonight and then back in training. We are still in all the competitions and getting the taste for this, we want more."
