Manchester United fullback Luke Shaw is happy competing with fellow left-back Tyrell Malacia for starting place.
Shaw says he and the summer arrival get along, despite the rivalry.
"It's about staying in shape and maintaining the high level all the time. Tyrell has obviously also played and played really well, and I think that's really good, that the manager has competition in different positions and that we're both performing at a good level," Shaw told the United Review.
"I really like Ty. I sit next to him in the dressing room and he's a really nice guy and an extremely good player. He is still very young and we get along really well and for both of us it is nice to get along with someone who is in the same position.
"It really helps because when he plays I want him to do the best for the team and I know he has the same feeling when it comes to me."
