Man Utd fullback Borthwick-Jackson ready to prove himself to Mourinho

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson hope to continue his first team progress under new Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

The 19-year-old was one of a number of young players to be handed a taste of the first team by former boss Louis van Gaal last season.

He knows the importance of being on the plane for United's trip to China ahead of the new campaign.

"It would mean a lot because I want to continue after breaking through last season and push myself into the manager's thoughts as a regular," he told the club's official website.

"It would be a great experience to adapt with the team and be away with them.

"Playing in the first team was a fantastic experience last season.

"This club has always been about hard work and dedication and that has stood me in good stead.

"It's not easy, but you have to keep pushing and I've driven on, worked on my game and hopefully I can keep performing well."
