Man Utd flyer Martial 'not ready' to play against Stoke - Mourinho

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has cast doubt over whether Anthony Martial will be available for Monday's night clash with Stoke City.

The Frenchman has come into his own this term after a shaky first season under Mourinho. In 20 Premier League outings, he has scored seven goals and provided United with much-needed pace on the wings.

Martial missed United's Boxing Day draw with Burnley, and speaking before the game on Monday, Mourinho confirmed the 22-year-old has picked up another niggling injury.

"Martial is not ready, but I hope he can play," said Mourinho. "Plus, the other ones that are unavailable."

In other team news, the Portuguese confirmed Antonio Valencia is "ready to play" against Stoke.

The Ecuadorian hasn't featured for United since he suffered a hamstring injury against West Bromwich Albion on December 17.
