Manchester United are willing to go as high as £20 million for Borussia Dortmund star Shinji Kagawa.

The Daily Star says United hope to announce the move in the next 48 hours after the Borussia Dortmund midfielder agreed to wages of £85,000 per week.

United will pay an initial £15m for the 23-year-old Japan international, who was signed by the German champions for just £300,000 in 2010.

The fee could rise to £20m depending on appearances and honours. The finishing touches have still to be put to the deal, but it is expected to be completed by Friday.
